We were never meant to do all this alone.
Maybe you give a great deal to the people in your life — as a parent, a carer, an educator, or another caring professional. But when did someone last ask how you are doing? Counselling is a space that belongs entirely to you. A place to be fully heard, and finally feel seen and understood.
No commitment required — just a friendly chat to see if we're a good fit.
The tallest trees stand because their roots intertwine
Secoya is the Spanish word for the redwood tree — one of the oldest and tallest living things on earth. And yet its roots don't go deep. They spread outwards, intertwining with the roots of neighbouring trees, sharing nutrients and anchoring one another. It is through connection that the Secoya tree finds its strength, resilience and its extraordinary capacity to grow.
That image is at the heart of my approach. We are not meant to stand alone.

Maybe you hold it all together — but inside, you're running on empty
Many of my clients have been struggling for a long time: capable on the outside, exhausted, lost or disconnected on the inside. If that sounds familiar, you're not alone.
People in caring or helping roles
Parents, carers, teachers, charity and healthcare workers, pastoral leaders. You pour yourself into others — and somewhere along the way, your own needs slipped out of sight. Counselling for burnout & carers →
Expats & internationally mobile people
Living between countries and cultures brings its own weight: transitions, distance from loved ones, and the question of where home really is. I've lived it too. Counselling across cultures →
You are welcome here
Years of living and working across cultures have given me a deep appreciation for difference and belonging. I warmly welcome clients of all backgrounds, identities, genders and neurotypes — you are welcome here, just as you are.

Some of the most formative chapters of my life were lived far from home. I spent 18 years in Asia — working, building community, and navigating life in multicultural environments. Before training as a counsellor, I worked in education and alongside families who had faced significant trauma.
I know what it is to give a great deal of yourself to others — in work, in faith, in family, in service — and I know how rarely people in those roles are asked how they are doing.

Gentle and exploratory — your pace, your lead
Beneath the exhaustion and the patterns that no longer serve you, I believe there is an innate goodness and deep inner wisdom in every person. My role is not to fix or direct, but to help you find your way back to that.
Somatic and trauma informed
Healing isn't only a thinking process. I work gently with what the body and nervous system hold — your responses honoured as messages to listen to, never problems to be fixed.
Client led
You are the expert on your own life. There's no agenda and no pushing — we follow your lead, and you set the pace at every step.
Founded in relational neuroscience
Grounded in how the brain and nervous system respond to safety and connection — because it is safe, attuned relationship that unlocks our natural capacity to heal and grow.
Including nature and creativity
Walk-and-talk sessions, natural crafts and creative exploration — always an invitation, never an expectation.

A peaceful farm setting in East Kent — or wherever you are
I work from a tranquil space nestled among fields and orchards near Ash, between Canterbury and Sandwich. From the moment you arrive, there's a natural sense of calm. The therapy rooms are private and comfortable, with on-site parking and full disabled access.
I also see clients in Folkestone at Lighthouse43, and online.

Taking care of yourself is what makes it possible to keep caring for others
Many of the people I work with have spent years managing on their own. They're capable, resourceful, and used to coping. Asking for help can feel unfamiliar — even selfish. It isn't. Counselling isn't a last resort; it's a space to finally put yourself first.
There is something that happens between two people — in a room, or across a screen — that no amount of self-help or solitary reflection can replicate. Connection is not a luxury in the healing process. It is the process.
Make space for you.
If any of this resonates, I'd love to hear from you. Sessions are available online and in person in East Kent.
